Call your CC companies to harass them.

I just spent a very productive half hour on the phone with my credit card companies.

I'm in the process of paying down balances, and was getting tired of the interest rates I was being charged (roughly 20% on two cards).

After a few phone calls, a bit of a threat to cancel one of my cards, and talking to a variety of people, I've been adjusted to the following:

0% on purchases for 6 months, followed by a 16.24% rate (variable) on one card, and
2.99% on purchases for 3 months, followed by a 11.99% rate (variable) on the other,
with a significant balance transferred from one card to the other at 1.99% until October.

Much better. So, if you haven't done so, it'd probably be worth your time to call & ask what can be done.

(no promises on them doing anything - my FICO score is rather high, but it can't hurt to ask, and threaten to cancel if needed)
