This one's a bit mushy...
First, sorry about the stupid spam comments, they have been crazy lately!
So sitting down to ponder things tonight, i ask myself why i like kids so much. Is it because they are so funny and i can write about them on my blog? Is it because they have really cute clothes? Or maybe because they can pass gas in public and think nothing of it... oh wait i still do that. Ya know then i came to a conclusion, and i think it's like the title says, i am just one big kid. Man, i hate when life gets complicated, and when it does, being a big kid just makes you feel better (especially when i dropped my tray at dinner tonight). Laughing at simple things, singing at the top of your lungs without a care (and dancing too), not having a care in the world, it's the only way to go. I think that this guy La Bruyere said it best when he said, "Children have neither past nor future, they rejoice in the present."
So one of the reasons i was thinking about that is because yesterday while i was nannying one the kids fell right asleep in my arms. I just don't know, but there is just something that gives you warm fuzzies and makes you feel special when a child feels comfortable enough to fall asleep in your lap. A child's love is so simple, yet so sincere...God created kids with a pretty special kind of love.
Sorry, it's getting a bit mushy, so time for something a little more light hearted. So the sixth graders came to talk about a school wide service project to the kindergarteners today, making gift baskets for senior citizens. Seeing that the kindergarteners had no idea what a senior citizen was, they kindly asked, "Are those people that sing a lot?" Not really knowing how to answer very well the sixth graders told them that a senior citizen was an old person without a house (aka lived in a nursing home), oh man, i tried not to laugh.

Oh for the LOVE OF PETE! When and why did it become politically incorrect to use the word OLD. There is nothing wrong with it. In this world, you will either die, or GET OLD and THEN DIE. I'm sick of being p.c. - these people are developmentally challenged!
