The most Wonderful time of the year
Hello again everyone! Sorry for such a pause in the blog writing, it's that time of year again when things just get plain crazy! Which makes me think, you know that song... It's the most wonderful time of the year... well, i've decided that whoever had the bright idea to write that song was not a) a college student, b) a retail worker, or c) a parent of children hyped up on holiday spirit.
In honor of crazy lives, my next story took place last week, in the middle of all of my finals craziness. Alright, so last Sunday night i went to yet another children's Christmas program, but this time at my church. Let me make a side note here, i LOVE children's Christmas programs, so cute, so funny, good times. Anyway, i drove my car there and when i came back decided to park outside my dorm building (during the weekend you can park here, but during the week it becomes staff parking, big $ if you park there when you are not suppose to). So, I go to sleep that night totally forgetting where my car was parked. Then along comes Monday night, i am suppose to go nanny, so i go out to Lot 60 (where my car usually gets parked)with a big laundry basket full of clothes. I go to the lot, and oh my goodness, i can't find my car! Did it get towed, i wasn't parked illegally!! How can a loose o CAR! I start freaking out, Autumn (my roommate) is with me and spots someone in a campus police car parked in the back of the lot, she goes back there, starts asking about cars that had been towed, find out my car wasn't so it has to be somewhere. Finally, in desperation, i am like, let's just go check outside the dorm building, that was the last time i remember having it. The campus police guy drives us over there, and sure enough, we find it. There was only one ticket on it thankfully, seeing that they usually ticket many times a day, but just the humiliation of loosing my car was enough to make me feel pretty stupid... at least for awhile.
Before i go, i also just wanted to say how much Christmas time just makes me feel like a kid again. Last week the second grade class i help out with all made me Christmas cards, excuse me, holiday cards, it's a public school. It made me feel so sweet! It inspired me so much that later that day we all sat down and i colored a big Christmas card for them! Ahhh coloring... only the best past time in the world
Color some yourslef... :)
