He's my DAD!

Happy Turkey day everyone! For all of you who have now ate your turkey dinner and are bored out of your skull and sick of talking to your relatives and are now reading my blog, this ones for you!

So, just another short story to share with today. Now, i don't know, but for this story you might just have had to of been there, but we'll give it a try. So i was at the bank making a direct payment on my car loan (instead of sending it to them in the mail). The lady there asked me my name and i said, "My name is Amber Ruppert but it might be under Brian Ruppert (my dad)." So she types my name in and then turns to me and says, "What is your husbands name again?"
AHHHHHHHH! I was mortified! Not wanting to make a big deal about it, i just made a funny face and repeated "Brian".

Alright, i know my dad wasn't standing right there, but for pete sakes, i am 20, he is 40 something! Sick. And he's my dad! Where does she think we live, Alabama? Double Sick.

Clearly you are mistaking a complement - these people obviously perceive you as being very mature and responsible.

amber-
i fell asleep last night thinking of your blog entry. :) when i worked at the mortgage company, you had to go to different pages to find people's ages and if they were married or not. that usually didn't come up on the first screen. maybe she just assumed that you were married cause you had the same last name and she didn't see that you were 20 years apart. it probably doesn't make a huge difference now... but i thought i would share anyway! :)
