It's Official...
I have a bit of odd news for most people. Or at least I fear they will think it odd, but here goes.
Last Thursday, (3-23-06), Wendy Korthals, Tim Borseth and myself were having a conversation. After praying, Tim opens up by saying, "Now, there seems to be a bit of confusion about courtship. Can either of you define what courtship means?" I turn to Wendy and look at her and then back to Tim, "Well,
In case you miss the reference, or not sure about your conclusion, well... Your conclusion would be correct. Wendy Korthals and I are now officially courting. We talked to her parents last Sunday (3-26-06) and got the final go ahead then. For various reasons, we decided to wait until today to spread the word.
It has been a good few days here now of having a girlfriend and starting the process of determing God's will for us. I'll write more on the topic of courtship as time goes on, but for those in the Rock, Wendy and I would most definitely appreciate your prayers for us, wisdom and God's leading.

Wow... wouldn't have expected it! Although it seems just right. I'm ecstatic for the both of you and would be happy to pray the two of you!
And though this advice doesn't sound logical... try to see one anothers faults for what they are... keep the rosy tint of twiterpation from your vision until later. Don't be afraid to ask one another difficult questions. Ohh and both of you keep on being awesome ;)

Yes, being in my house is very interesting these days!! I too am concerned about the apparent trend happening here, but if I look back at all my former roommates, its not a trend - its God's sense of humor at work . . . again. : ))

Very likely, because I am seeing that side of not only him & Wendy, there is also Mr. Biang and his future bride who are miles ahead in the bubbly, giggly race! I assume since they are on the 30 day countdown it will only happen more. And if its not obvious already, I will soon be in the market for one new roommate to live in Jackie's soon to be old room.
Wendy once told me she was going to live at my house "forever". While no decisions have been made about this and won't be for a while, I still wonder if I have any legal ground to stand on here???
It's kinda fun having the Michaels around the house. We also seem to have very few leftovers these days! : ))

I was thinking it would be cool if you guys did some different things to change things up, such as...
1. throw around the idea of taking wendy's last name
2. Michael, you should think about quitting your day job and going into full-time ministry
3. only communicate through instant messaging...
Im pretty sure those things would keep courting interesting, i mean seriously, with all the courting and marrying going on, some of us youngens are getting a little bored. Haha, seriously though, congrats, ill be praying for you guys.
