It's Official...

I have a bit of odd news for most people. Or at least I fear they will think it odd, but here goes.

Last Thursday, (3-23-06), Wendy Korthals, Tim Borseth and myself were having a conversation. After praying, Tim opens up by saying, "Now, there seems to be a bit of confusion about courtship. Can either of you define what courtship means?" I turn to Wendy and look at her and then back to Tim, "Well, Sure. Courtship is a relationship intentially pursued for the purpose of determining whether or not it is God's will for you to be married." Tim nodded and said, "That is a good definition, you need to blog about that!" So here I am blogging about that.

In case you miss the reference, or not sure about your conclusion, well... Your conclusion would be correct. Wendy Korthals and I are now officially courting. We talked to her parents last Sunday (3-26-06) and got the final go ahead then. For various reasons, we decided to wait until today to spread the word.

It has been a good few days here now of having a girlfriend and starting the process of determing God's will for us. I'll write more on the topic of courtship as time goes on, but for those in the Rock, Wendy and I would most definitely appreciate your prayers for us, wisdom and God's leading.

More money.... (Go Orange!)

So I concluded today, that you own more of your own money when the bank doesn't require you to keep a minimum balance. :) $300 just sitting around that I couldn't use was bugging me, especially if you drop below $300, they start charging you $5/mo. That's like negative interest.

I was very pleased with my ING Direct Savings Account, $0.55 in one month, carrying 1/3 the balane I normally have over the course of one quarter where I made no more than $0.40ish with that one bank.

So my advise, go Ornage! http://home.ingdirect.com/ and "Save Your Money" (TM). :) Especially if you want to earn 3.5% minimumn on an zero minimum balance savings account, check them out.

Have a great day!

P.S. If you want to earn more money, e-mail me first and let me send you a referral e-mail. It then becomes a win-win situation for both of us (as in freee money!). :)
