This week we learned how businesses and people buy and sell things on the Internet. We learned how to transfer money when we buy and how to protect ourselves from fraud.

Joel-I learned that the internet can be very dangerous but some people can be trusted
Today we learned how filesharing works and how it can be legal or illegal. Sharing music files can be legal IF you own the rights to the purchased copy. Accepting a copy of downloaded music is illegal and unethical IF you did not obtain the rights.
BRIANNA- I think that you should be able to share copied music within people you know, instead of just yourself as an extra. I have also realized how many laws i have broken. :(

This week we learned about meeting people on the Internet. We learned about the anonymous nature…in other words, you can’t tell who you’re actually talking to just by looking at the screen name. We learned about chat, forums, and blogs.
