New House - In case your all wondering...
We don't have "the house" yet.
Negotiations continue. Which basically means that she's not going to chop twelve thousand dollars off the price like we asked her to.
Stand by for more news and keep praying!

Please Pray
Would you commit to praying at least 10 minutes a day for at least the next week about this summer? Whether you are planning on going to Chicago for SALT, staying in Ames for EPIC or doing any of the other countless things that are available, this summer has the potential for incredible influence and change in your life. I believe that deserves being brought before our heavenly father for consecration.
Please leave me a note if you plan to do this with me. Thanks!
P.S. Zeke's needs lots of prayer too.

Walk the Line - a review
Wednesday night I had the opportunity to see the much lauded Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Whitherspoon in “Walk the Line”. Not only had this movie received much critical and popular applause but several good friends had highly recommended it as one to buy. Needless to say I had high expectations.
I won’t spend time on the details. It would take more effort then what it would be worth. So, in short I was disappointed in and depressed by the movie. It focuses on Johnny Cash’s drug use and lifelong fixation with a woman that was not his wife.
The movie was a little slow in sections as Johnny’s drug use drags on and on. I think that we are supposed to identify with Cash as he feel’s like he can never get his father’s approval, can’t seem to get the woman that loves him to love him back and can’t seem to shake the feeling that he is “the bad son”. It didn’t resonate with me rather it just made me feel sorry for a man believing lies and chasing after them.
On the plus side, owning Johnny’s “Live at Folsom Prison” gave me the inside track on references and background that I wouldn’t have picked up on. I also enjoyed the song writing scenes early workings of young Cash with his band.
All in all I couldn’t say that I regretted watching the movie but it did leave me yearning for light in such a hopeless and dark life.

South Dakota Abortion Ban
In case you hadn't noticed... South Dakota has banned abortion.
According to FoxNews 59% of Americans wouldn't want that law in their state. Of course they only asked 900 people. Hardly enough for true statistical honesty.
Anyway, big news. Lets pray.

Priorities 1
Get back to the basics! Where are your priorities? Always drink a little spiritual milk.
This blog is inactive because I have de-prioritized it.
I have been spending more time reading the Bible, praying, sharing the gospel, meeting with other Christians and playing music then I have writing.
Sigh, I like to write. It's good for me... I think? Alas, life must balance itself. Each day may only sum up to 24 hours. Which for me more often then not sadly requires that I choose... not to write.
Who knows? Maybe next week will be a lot slower. Probably not.
