What is it That You Want?

Find out what you want and then give everything that you have to obtain it.

"He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose." - Jim Elliot

Tim wants to share the gospel and teach others to do the same. He is passionate about it. He is also passionate about the origins of the earth. He gives his life to these things.

Matt wants to be a student of our every changing culture, I think...

What do I want?

Not quite sure... give me a minute.

I want to be humble. I want to have the character and repuation to have God use me in whatever way he wants to. Leadership. Evangelism. Teaching. Speaking. Worshiping.

1 Peter 4:11

I am not sure yet.

What do you want?

Mark 10:51
"What do you want me to do for you?" Jesus asked him. The blind man said, "Rabbi, I want to see."

I want to see things the way the Lord does, think the way the Lord does, feel the way the Lord does and do what the Lord would do.

What do I want? Tricky question, but it's a simple enough answer. I want to be involved in women's lives. No matter what that looks like: personal discipleship, evnagelism, teaching, writing. I wast to have an impact on women for the Kingdom.

I desire to love and love deep. I know this word is more overused and watered down than any other...but i mean it with all the heart that I have to give.
If I could genuinely love as Jesus did, and therefore anyone who i cross paths with could be left slightly better off, enriched in some way, or blessed as a result...
why, this is what drives me.

I want to live, and really LIVE, with all the freedom God intended for us to have.

Here's a longer, and better, answer:

When I sleep, I want to feel the warmth of my wife's backside against mine, while outside the rooftop of our house shimmers with the starlight of God's lovingkindness.

When I enfold my wife in my arms, I want to feel God's embrace.

When my daughters look at me, I want them to smile with eyes of love in the hope that I have been an example of the kind of man the Lord will lead them to marry.

When my sons think about the path of their life, I want them to envision partnering with godly women who will help them and encourage them to live a life of adventure, becoming the men God created them to be.

When I talk to people, I want to express God's story to them in a way peculiar to them and which reaches into their hearts.

When I get up in the morning I want to know that my day is going to matter.

I want to see myself the way God sees me.

I want to be strong.

I want to be ready and recognize the traps Satan lays for me.

"What do you want me to do for you?" Jesus asked the blind man.
"Teacher, I want to see," the blind man answered.
(Mark 10:51)

thanks guys. In rethinking this and trying to put a more practical skill oriented badge on my character goals I think I would like to be an excellent communicator both in private and public situations.
