Your fellow Orlando LT intern here! :o) I was super excited to find your blog today after following a trail of other random blogs (isn't it funny how that works sometimes?!).

Anyway, as far as rain goes, I love rainy days as well, and I would consider myself a fairly non-melancholy person most of the time. I love the smell of rain the most (especially when it's falling on hot sidewalks or dirt), but I also love the sound of it falling and I love walking through misty rain. Slow mournful music is beautiful a lot of the time (i.e. i love a good, slow mournful waterdeep or Over the Rhine song anyday!)so there is no shame in likeing it. I don't think enjoying either of those things makes you a sadist, masochist etc...

so what is it about rain that everyone likes?

so, I mostly love rainy nights...not so much rainy days because I prefer a crisp sunny fall day...but an end of winter early spring rainy night is awesome. It seems like the earth is cleaning itself from the nasty winter muck and getting ready for new life. It brings excitment, the thought of something new.

I don't like mud tho. It sticks to everything. I like the smell of it but not the stickyness.

and I really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really neeed a rain coat...
