How do you spend 1 hr & 45 min in Walmart with 1 year old?
We went to get our oil changed and tires rotated this morning. I checked in a little after 9am and they told me it would be 1hr and 45 minutes before the car was done. Not that I expected less than that, but hearing it confirmed was a bit scary. We loaded up the diaper bag with extra diapers, snacks and drinks. I grabbed my purse and coffee and we started off in an effort to find a cart. Thankfully that took 5 minutes off our total time trying to get to the front of the store and get laoded up. Oh, I forgot to mention that I only had about 12 items on my list to buy. I walked slowly and tried to find all the interesting stuff to look at for Belle. She had picked t the "toddler" cart where the kid can buckle themselves into the front of the cart and ride by themselves. (Ps.Those things are very hard to steer) We went to the personal care area and found our vitamins and past the toys. By this time Belle is anxious to get out of the cart and walk, well no, she doesn't want to walk. She wants me to hold her. Which means I have 1 hand to push the cart! We head down the candle and photograph sections and by this time she is crying and doesn't want to do anything with the cart. I look at my watch and realize 8.5 minutes has passed since we have checked our cart in. AAAAHHHHHHH! I never want to do this again!
Luckly I had grabbed a huge pile of crackers and she sat in the cart for a long time eating those while we walked around and I pointed things out to her. I checked back in at the car section after an hr to see how things were coming and it was done! I asked her if she had announced it over the PA and she said she had called for "Jason Rohlf" Well, that was probably the problem. My name is Leah Rohlf and I was busy pointing out the different colored packages of diapers to my child! ;)
But praise the Lord we are done, the oil is changed and we are at home and it is nap time!

Yeah, I used to do that with Jake... never again after one time it passed the 2 1/2 hr mark!! Now, it's 15 mins wherever I can get it done. It is a great concept if only they could find a way to speed it up!

Oh wow! I know that I have a hard time wasting time at Wal-Mart... and I'm an adult! Poor Belle! And poor mom! Way to be positive through the whole process!
