November 22nd would be a good day for a birthday!
I have spent the last 5 days thinking that each day. "November (fill in the date) would be a good day for a birthday!" However, no baby. Yesterday I was told by our neighbor to start rubbing my ankles and that will make the baby come. I laughed, but he looked at me and said: "I'm serious!" I go to the Dr. again tomorrow to see if any progress has been made. This could be a thanksgiving baby...
Yum, turkey in the hospital... :)

Reason #456 for not picking your nose...
Again, this might not be a typical "Leah" post, but I need some insight here. As we were discussing this topic last night, I decided it would make a good blog entry as I could hear from other people and their thoughts.
Here is my situation that has been argued and no conclusions have been made. When is it ok to pick your nose? Of course not in public...that is a given. But where is "public"? How about driving in a car? Not a big deal you might think. I however, think that public is when you are in the car. People CAN still see you!! Yesterday I was waiting at a light in town and looked in my rear view mirror. I realized I knew this person and had my hand on it's way up in the air to wave at them. However, just then they started to pick their nose. I quickly dropped my hand and decided to wait and see what happened. They stopped, but then quickly switched hands and tilted their head to the side to get a good angle. Wow. I am still not sure what to do when they changed hands and fingers again and that moment I started sinking in my seat hoping that they didn't recognize me car. Maybe they wouldn't be embarassed...but I sure was! And I was trying to imagine myself in their shoes. I had just been digging for gold and a friend decides to start waiving. Oh my gosh, that would be horrible! In light of that, I quickly drove off and decided to share this story with my husband last night. Which promted our conversation...(one that I have had with others as well). When is it ok to pick your nose? Should one always use a kleenex? That is my opinion, but I have noticed not everyone agrees with me. Are there occations when it is ok and then when it is not???
Do share your thoughts...

I get it now... the world does not revolve around me!
Yesterday after my doctor's appointment I found myself very sensitive to a few different things. Picture this:
Scenario #1:
Man tries to cut in line at Aldi's as I am waiting to check out. My first response (which I didn't say out loud thankfully!)
"H E L L O! Can't you see that I am pregnant and about to give birth VERY soon??? Geesh!" (And now that I think about it, I had my winter coat on, he probably didn't even know I was pregnant!)
Scenario #2:
Driving home from the grocery store. EVERYONE was speeding and in a hurry! I was driving home with both hands on the wheel and found myself muttering...ok, wanting to yell, "WOMAN WITH CHILD HERE!!" They didn't slow down... in fact, no one seemed to care.
Again, for those of you not prego, you probably think I am nuts and are laughing right now. That is fine. I am sure I would be to if I was in your place. For those of you who have carried a child and were about to bring it into the world, did you ever have thoughts like this? I am actually quite amused at myself and can't believe I am thinking things like this.... and yet the other half of me is justifying my thoughts.... Praise the Lord for hormones!
Hmmm.

"In my professional opinion...
you are gonna have that baby within the next week."
-Dr Wenzel
Wow! So I am told I am not going to be pregnant forever and things (several things that my body has to do in order to get this thing out!)are moving in the right direction...fast!
Now I know Dr.'s can be wrong, and I am not putting my hope in this baby coming out shortly, but I think I need to be prepared. My bag is about half way packed and last night I finally bought wipes and diapers. Oh my gosh.... this is crazy!
Hopefully you can see pictures of baby Rohlf soon!
Peace.
