Musings...
Top nine happenings in Leah's life:
(Not in any order)
-I cleaned my house! Dusted, bathrooms, kitchen, the whole thing! Whew!
-My brother leaves for Arizona for 6 months on Friday... I am trying not to pout....
-We are taking the outreach class with Mars Hill- Jason and I shared the diagram with Erin last night and she prayed to receive Christ! I am so... pumped!
-I desperately need to go grocery shopping- pickles and some mustard are about what make up our fridge right now.
-I am no longer an employee of Iowa City Family Chiropractic. I am working for my dad part time, other than that I am basically doing the "staff" thing without raising support. Pretty cool so far. Although I think I am going to miss all the drama! :)
-I baked my first loaf of homemade cinnamon bread tonight- it smells wonderful!
-Jason only has 2 weeks left of commuting to Des Moines for work- Praise the Lord!
-Wendy Bovenmyer and I are going to start working out together... she is the only one that seems to get me motivated!
-I was excited that I fould Pledge (the dusting stuff)- for $.97 at Walmart yesterday! (I know... I am getting old!)
"Yet I am confident that I will see the Lord's goodness while I am here in the land of the living. Wait patiently for the Lord, be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord." -Psalm 27:13&14

I draw the line HERE!
As many people know, I am a germ freak. I think I have mellowed out considerably, but today was a bit much. We had a new patient walk in the door. We greeted here, copied her insurance card and told her how to fill out the new patient form. She then asked if we had a restroom. Not an unusual question, however, she decided to take the clipboard and my blue pen with her to the bathroom. About 10 or 15 min later she saunters back into the waiting room with her form all filled out. I said, "Are you done?" -meaning her filling out the sheet, however I realized that could have something to do with her activity in the bathroom as well. Yuck! I am officially grossed out and yes I did wipe down my pen with antibacterial soap as soon as she walked back for her appointment. :)

Valentines Day!
Well, except for the fact that he left out the whole GOD aspect, his article isn't too bad!

It makes you thankful...
I realized today that it is good to get perspective on life every once and a while. A man came in today as a new patient. His wife is a regular and I guess she finally convinced him to come in. Last week though, he was working on a car and through a serious of events he ended up on fire. I'm serious, the way his wife explained it, the entire top half of his body was in flames. He came in today and his face was all blistered and his hands all wrapped except for the tips of his fingers. I'm glad it was winter and he was wearing clothes that covered all the other parts of his body- I am not sure I could have handled seeing the extent of the damage. He was in good spirits though and was joking about something. Next, patient number two walked in and was complaining about how bad of a week it was. She was tired and had the flu for a few days. "It just wasn't her week" she said. I only tried to imagine what this man beside her was thinking. His life was threatened last week and he had a lot to complain about if you ask me. Who knows if he will look "normal" again. But he wasn't. He just sat there quietly and listened to this lady vent.
Anyway, it was a good eye opener for me. I realized a lot of the "rough" things in my life right now aren't really that big of deal after all. I have a lot to be thankful for.
One a side note, I finished reading through the Psalms yesterday. I started this summer trying to read one Psalm a day with Proverbs. It was so encouraging- I would highly recommend it!
Enjoy the sunshine!

Whew!
Who would have thought that getting your MRS degree would take so much time and energy! :) I enjoyed it though. However, I am excited for life to return to normal. Whatever that means!
That is all for now... just wanted to let people know I'm still kicki'n.
