Verses for the day:

"Dear brothers & sisters, I close this letter with these last words: Rejoice. Change your ways. Encourage each other. Live in harmoney & peace. Then the God of love and peace will be with you." - 2 Cor 13:11

I was thinking back to this last weekend when Mark went into detail about Paul's sufferings. It reminded me of how much Paul went through and how he still chose to rejoice. I love the way he puts it. "Rejoice." Not if I feel like it, not when it is convenient. Just rejoice.... even if it is Monday! (Which I am thankful that it is not Monday today, but rather Thursday!) :)

Quote of the week:

(said to me by a patient of ours who is 28 and very white!)

"Congrats on your bling bling!"

Wow.

Her Bling Bling is her engagement ring.

How do you get some? Well, there are a million theories. I'm working on one of my own, which I will write a book about, and make a million dollars.

Thankyou for sharing that, Leah, about rejoicing in the midst of suffering. Paul's life is amazing. What else did Mark D. say? ;) I wish I could have been there!

I knew that this particular phrase had "jumped the shark," as they say, when I saw an SUV in Ames with the license plate: "BLING X2"
Man, I wish I was that cool.
