odd combo
tonight as i drank hot chocolate with my b-bque meal, i thought to myself, "this is odd!" well the oddness began long before that, at one point today, some co-workers of mine got the brilliant idea (it had to have sounded good for at least one moment) to grill hamburgers, hot dogs and brats to go along with our football-watching filled sunday evening. so dan and gary (two very good-sized men) bundled up and shoveled out the big brick grill from under all the snow and ice we have in a field outside our cottage. this was no easy process, but they were determined to make this plan work. they then proceeded to freeze while grilling for about 40 kids plus staff. i (warm in my cottage) watched with my boys from our window on commercial breaks and came close to laughing ourselves sick. there they are, in a snow bank wearing columbia winter coats, stocking caps and gloves, grilling away, while their boys build the most massive snowman i have ever seen next to them! it was an unbelievable sight. i sure wish i had my camera. so after all that madness, we ate, watched the game and drank cocoa... we are weird its okay.
