a new home and a new wagner (the long overdue update)
well hello from the windy city! sorry it has taken so long (the excuse:we didn't have internet until yesterday and many other life things going on) plus i have had good intentions about setting up a site for andy and i both with my real name on it :-) but lets be serious i dont know how to do that. maybe someday.
ok where to start? well we are finally feeling settled into our new apartment which is wonderful here in bucktown. and HUGE compared to our ames apartment.
we moved in almost three weeks ago. the first aldi outing went well and wasn't scary, and the resale shops are good fun. other than that, we are just starting to explore beyond a few blocks due to some much needed warmer weather! thank goodness. we did venture downtown the other night for some shopping and hit Mr Greek while there! oh the memories!
andy is fully underway at walsh. he is working on a hotel in lombard which has turned out to not be such a bad commute. we loved having our first ames visitors this weekend autumn, alisa, cliff and bravo. tons of fun having an excuse to go out and eat great food! also thanks to heather hanson i have found a sweet super cheap bakery that sells turtle pastries!!!
i have gotten to spend a lot of time with my family which has been amazing and just perfect for me. lots of time with my mom and sister and the kids. i cant get enough! and they cant get enough of the NEW WAGNER!
(and she loves them too!)
thats right folks, we got a puppy! not just any puppy, the most beautiful puppy in the world! introducing Elsa Mae!
she is a four month old boxer. we got her at a great no kill shelter on the south side and cant imagine life without her now. she is crazy at times and has turned our apartment into a race track, but then she needs to nap for a couple hours. she is a lover and will kiss you to no end. she LOVES other puppies and her new doggy do good school she has started attending. she is going to get pretty big i think and is already starting to be very loyal. we just love her. and some of us (ANDY) like to spoil her!

aawwwhhh, she looks adorable! we have talked about a dog, but I think we might wait until Belle is big enough to help! Congrats on getting settled...let us know when you are in the area!

I can't wait to come visit you guys...it will definitely have to wait now until sometime after the baby is born. And if you guys want to come visit us some time you are more than welcome! :) Yea for city living.
