Caribou Experience

Friday night on Halsted Street in Chicago. Virginia and I were able to hang out and talk with the some of the guys at Caribou Coffee. It's awesome to talk about real life issues. Good and bad decisions we've made and the consequences. Mostly we talked about the Biang process of getting married and how good a deal it has been for us.
The whole night made me more excited about the prospects of SALT II. Does anyone really know what this stands for?
Rock Iowa Staters are awesome!

14 Thousand feet up With Bob Mt. Bross

2004coloradoMtBruss.jpg

We drove up this mountain. Half way up we entered a hail storm and the temp. dropped into the thirties. We started with the sides off the jeep but Chirstine was getting pelted by the hail. We had to put the sides up and wait out the storm. We decided to keep going up the trail, here we are at the summit.

Colorado Mountains

Bob, Christine and I took a few days to travel on 4x4 Trails in the Colorado Rockies before HSLT. We got stuck on this pile of rocks and had to turn around after getting off them. Another driver told us that 3 Jeeps fell off this trail. So, we are glad not to have joined them. You can rent these Jeeps in Aspen and drive all over. We got our money's worth.

Tom Short

Tom Short visted SALT in Chicago this summer. He was able to preach for several hours just East of Buckingham fountain in Grant Park. Most of you didn't see Tom's magic show, but here he is creating a ship out of thin air. Tom is awesome.

The End Of Blogs:

I have heard it said that when old people start hearing about a new arena of life...that it's time to move on. So, I have decided not to mess up the BLOG initiative but will call this A LOG. So, my ALOG will have some news, ramblings, pictures and commentaries. My ALOG mentors will be Mike B. and Matt H. who have been kind to me in my dotterage. Thanks guys!
