Officially a Chicagoan?
Okay, so I've decided that I must be an official Chicagoan given that random people on the street stop me at least once a day to ask me random questions.... from where is such and such street to today's newest: Do you know where I can get some oil-free sunscreen? I mean, not just 'non-greasy,' but oil-free?
Oh my.
IN OTHER NEWS.... Yesterday at the Home Depot Christine and I stopped a lady to ask her where we could get a key made. She directed us to where to go, then followed it by saying, "Are you two sisters?"
After both Christine and I blankly looked at her and said, "No."
She just shook her head and asked, "Do you get that a lot?"
"Um, not really."
This is a bit bewildering. Either Christine and I look nothing alike, or somehow after living at the Biangs' for three weeks I have become one and just never realized it. Now, we did formulate some hypotheses about why this lady might have made this observation.....
1. We were both smiling
2. We both wear glasses
3. She doesn't see very many white people.
The jury is still out on this one, but it's the funniest thing that's happend to me all week!

Maybe they asked you about sunscreen not because you look like a chicagoan but because you look like you really need some sunscreen. :)
This blog post made both Tony and I laugh a lot!

Maybe she was doing a psych experiment for a class...telling people who don't really resemble each other that they look like siblings...
Or maybe she has a blog where she records her attempts at confusing other people...
(of course I know that these are highly unlikely ;))
Haha...I bet you guys were just dying after that :) What a good bonding moment :)

Perhaps she was referring to your spirtual linneage in Christ :)
Or maybe she was colorblind and was asking if you were the same ethnicity as she was.

Ang... I always find your blog postings quite enjoyable! I am going to put my wager on the fact that both of you look gorgeous when you smile! =)

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! Looking at #2, I have glasses; #3 is also true, because I'm white; so, since 2 and 3 are true, we can imply that #1 is true. So I have a Gourgeous smile! Oh yeah!

Well, Does this make me a Wyomingite, since I've lived here for almost a week?
Posted by: Tom at June 3, 2006 01:29 PM
But you ARE sisters...

oh my... you all make me laugh
it's true. Christine and I ARE sisters. I've decided she could just sense the same Spirit within us.
Tom, you are not a Wyomingite.... I think that involves not showering and living in a hut for a few months.... which no one could verify because you wouldn't actually see anyone for like a year.
I think it's likely plausable that the woman was in fact color blind and that she did think we were 'sistas.'
