What a Great Day!

For those of you who didn't notice.... yesterday was my birthday. I turned 26 I suppose and were I young enough to facebook, or whatever the kids are doing these days (and no, Pat, you're not a kid just 'cause you got the hoook up) I would now be eligible to join the 'just around the corner' club. I am rounding this corner called my mid-twenties, but what's a girl to do?

The day was all in all a winner in my book. There were several keys elements making it a success: Homemade breakfast with friends... play time at the Hills'... a quiet afternoon at home... roses... intimate dinner at Dublin Bay... Birthday Worship Mix part 2... sweet cards from all my friends... massive party at my house... heart-shaped almond cake.

And... My AMAZING parents came to 'surprise' me, and joned the festivities, bearing with them my awesome birthday/graduation gift... a new camera. I am totally blessed by their generosity. I've been having fun already! Look for me on flickr with the rest of the world. Smile. Enjoy.

All of yesterday's antics have left my tired old soul, well, tired. So I'm gonna nap it, and get ready for the night ahead.

No, I am definitely moving into that 'creepy old dude still hanging out with college kids' phase.

Stay around young people and you'll never get as old as the calendar says you are.
Remember Caleb... the guy who said he is as strong at 80 as he was at 40... well, he was completely surrounded by young people. Everyone except Joshua was younger than him because they had all died off for their lack of faith to enter the promised land. Think on that for awhile.
