A letter from God
My dearest,
You are my daughter, today I have become your Father. Ask of me and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possessions. Be still...and know that I am God, do not be afraid for I deeply love you. I have loved you with an everlasting love; with unfailing love I draw you to myself. I am your royal husband and I delight in your beauty...I take pleasure in you!
I will personally go with you wherever you go and I will give you rest, for you are favored by me. I will never fail nor forsake you. You are set apart as holy; I have chosen you to be my own special treasure from all the world, for you are my prized workmanship. You will be able to do everything with my help, for I will give you the strength you need. I am the vine, you are the branches, and a good tree cannot produce bad fruit.
I will rescue you, and keep you safe from the battle wage against you. I will be your shield, your glory, and the one who lifts your hand high in victory. For my yoke fits perfectly and the burden I give you is light.
I will give you a new heart, with new & right desires and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony heart, and give you a new, obedient heart. Don't copy the behaviors and customs of this world, but let me transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.
I command you, dear one, to be strong and courageous! Don't be afraid, for I am with you! Trust in me and do good and you will live safely. Take delight in me and I will give you your heart's desire. Commit all you do to me, trust me, and I will help you. For, I have bought you at a high price and I do not want to see you enslaved by this world.
Happy are those who listen to me, watching for me daily at my gates, and waiting for me at my home. My dearest, be strong and steady, always enthusiastic about my work, for you know that nothing you will ever do for me is useless. I am leaving you with a gift... peace of mind and heart. (And the peace I give isn't like that of this world, so don't be troubled, my dear.) You will be blessed because you believe I will do as I say... heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will reign forever!
