Harry Potter...

Okay, so it's true, and people may or may not know this about me, but I'm quite into the whole Harry Potter thing. Okay, it's out in the open. Tim, if you're reading this and feel a demotion of title and role within the Rock is appropriate, I understand.

No, but seriously, I just finished the book last night. All in all it was a quick read, though I felt very disappointed as though the entire 650 pages were merely bringing together some previously loose ends and preparing readers for the seventh, and theorectically, final book.

I'm not going to give away any plot in case there are fellow readers out there, but the truth is that I was really disappointed because I realized that I am an incredibly optimisitic person and that I truly felt like that got squashed in my face. I was definitely holding out hope that some paticular character would prove to be good, but not so much. Boo for that, yo!

In other random rants about the book, there was far too much 16 year old romance to suit my tastes! Enough said.

If you are worried about a demotion in title and role, then you deserve a demotion in title and role. not for reading harry potter, but simply for worrying about it :)

I have to admit, I have been hearing the siren call of the harry potter books. i haven't actually read one, but I thoroughly enjoy the movies.

I'm thinking about getting the audiobook versions so I can listen while at work.

there is far more plot in the books than the movies, her writing is amazing. you should go for it. especially if you're doing audio, then you can easily justify it by multi-tasking.

btw-not really worried about a demotion, just adding a bit of drama ;)

I've been thinking about reading them too, because I loved the movies... one of our RVCU members has them all and she said she would lend me the first one:)
