That's a lot of women.
So Paul and Christie were here last night, and so were some other people, but the sujbect of roommates was brought up. Paul commented that he has had like 30 roommates or something....so I decided that I needed to count up my own number of roommates.
The grand total (so far)......is 34! Wow. Of course, the summer I was at Myrtle Beach there were 8, last year at Knapp St there were 11, and over last summer there were 8 as well. That's a lot of people. In honor of my past, present, and future roommates I feel a bit inclined to share a few stats...
Roommate lived with the longest: Alicia Hoecherl & Mara Sutch (both two years now)
Roommate lived with the shortest: Sarah Skogland (she lived with us for a month or something)
Weirdest roommate: Myra. She drove Cy-Ride, was from Nebraska, ate strange foods (i.e. lamb and cabbage), and was generally strange.
Number of engaged roommates: 4 (Kirsten, Rachel, Nancy, Alicia Kennedy)
Quietest household: North Franklin.....just me and Alicia, and a big house.
Noiest household: Knapp St. Summer 2003...oh my.
Favorite place to live: This is a toss-up between the house on Franklin Ave, and the apartment on Walnut Ave. Each was wonderful and comparing the two is probably more like comparing apples and oranges.....it's just impossible to do it. Oh wait! I didn't like the house so much, but favorite place was definitely at the cottage in Myrtle Beach....1/2 a block from the ocean.
Favorite landlord: Well, between the Bovenmeyers and Martin Property...it no contest with everyone else.
Weirdest evening at home: This one easily goes to the night that Lindsy Rohlf put on every article of clothing in the lost & found at Knapp St. (For protection of all parties, details, photographs, and other memories of this evening are edited out.)
Most memorable household prank: Sneaking out of the house two days in LT 2000 and tying all the boys' shoes up in the tree outside their house.
